The fine print
Accessibility

What we aim for
Every page of Robber Baron is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA. Every cover carries a written description of the picture, focus is drawn as a plum ring you can see, and body text clears 4.5 to 1 contrast against the newsprint it is printed on.
What we measured
On 13 October 2026 we checked nine pages, from the front page to this one, on a phone width and a desktop width, with the axe-core rules run in a real browser. They found no contrast failure, no missing label and no control without a name. With reduced motion switched on, nothing moves: the covers and the type arrive already in place. With JavaScript switched off, every element that would rise into view is already there at rest.
Where it falls short
The round buttons that pick a canvas size are 20 pixels across and the two consent boxes are 24, under the 44 points Apple recommends for a thumb. Each sits inside a row that answers a tap anywhere along it, and a size row is 56 pixels tall. The small capitals that label a section are set at 13 pixels. The sitting needs a photograph and a caption you type, and a cover takes one to two minutes to paint; the wait is announced to screen readers with the seconds elapsed.
